My 5-year daily drawing project

Client: personal project
Role: Illustrator & Visual Storyteller, Content Creator / Producer
Scope: Concept Development, Illustration, Social Media Management

Supposedly Seinfeld said he bought a huge wall calendar that showed the whole year at once. And he made an X for each day he wrote comedy. His claim was that after a while you build up a nice streak of X’s, and it’s a strange incentive to keep moving forward to avoid breaking the chain. "Don’t break the chain!" I’ve never been good at resolutions, most years I don’t usually set one. But I figured since this was something that was important to me, I wanted to give it a go.

Starting January of 2013, I posted one drawing every day. The point is not to make beautiful pieces of illustration everyday but to make drawing part of my daily routine, like brushing my teeth, so that it doesn’t seem like such a big deal.

By the time the project finally ended, I had posted 1,687 drawings.
